01

Milwaukee Tool is the flagship, multi-billion-dollar brand of a larger industrial conglomerate, obsessed with the professional trade end user and known for its fully interchangeable cordless battery ecosystem and connected-tool platform. It engaged Taller to build its unified customer data platform.

02

Analysts manually aggregated customer data, each with their own tools and their own methodology, with no single source of truth for end-user data, and hundreds of hours per week went into manually reconciling sources. The risks ran deeper than operations: user-data deletion requests had no automation behind them, creating regulatory exposure, and slow data meant missed market opportunities.

03

Taller built a unified data platform on a medallion architecture: events landed raw in a bronze layer, pipelines normalized and transformed them into a silver layer, and business logic integrated the differing source schemas into a single unified schema in a gold layer for reporting and analysis, with reverse ETL publishing the unified data back into internal systems. The team developed a regulation-compliant user-deletion process from scratch that automatically accommodated new sources, and built partner-integration mechanisms such as SFTP with automated credential rotation. The platform ran on Python and SQL across AWS Redshift, S3, and Step Functions, with Databricks, Power BI, and RudderStack completing the stack.

04

Hundreds of hours per week of manual reconciliation were replaced by minutes of daily processing. New data sources were onboarded twenty times faster. When business logic changed, historical reprocessing finished within the same day, down from weeks. User-deletion requests completed within hours, down from a month, and the process is auditable.
