Workday Integration Platform: Connecting Multiple Systems Through One Orchestration Discipline
Creating a cleaner integration layer across staffing, finance, and workforce data
The Client · A NASDAQ-listed staffing and professional-services firm

Overview
A NASDAQ-listed staffing and professional-services firm engaged Taller to build its Workday integration practice. The partnership spanned internal engineering services and external client delivery, and is one of the longest-running in Taller’s portfolio.
The Problem
The client’s Workday environment (the enterprise platform that runs the company’s HR, recruitment, and finance) connected across the firm’s whole operations stack, and the integration scope was significant: multiple downstream systems, each with its own data format, all needing to exchange data smoothly with the recruitment and finance workflows Workday held at the center. Workday integration was a specialized practice because the platform offered four different ways to integrate, and getting the operational economics right meant using each one for the workload it suited.
The Solution
Taller deployed the Workday team that built the full integration practice: web-service-enabled reports, Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) integrations, Workday Studio integrations, and custom APIs. The approach matched each method to the job rather than standardizing on one: web services for the lookups that had to happen in real time, EIBs for the high-volume batch transfers that did not, Workday Studio for the integrations needing transformation logic the simpler methods couldn’t handle, and a QA discipline that tested every integration against Workday’s regular release cycle to ensure platform upgrades didn’t show up as broken integrations.
The Impact
Taller delivered the full integration practice on an accelerated timeline, giving the firm clean data connections across its operations stack.
