01

A global digital-payments company engaged Taller to build and stabilize the onboarding and payment-processing foundations beneath its guest-checkout product. Taller’s scope spanned the unified onboarding platform, the payment-processing modernization, and full-stack commerce engineering roles.

02

The company’s guest-checkout product ran across major commerce platforms through an identity-linked vault and embeddable checkout system. Keeping it reliable at scale depended on the foundations beneath it: the onboarding and identity flows the product extended, and the payment-processing platform where it first launched. Both needed modernization.

03

Taller modernized the two foundations the guest-checkout product depended on. The first was the unified onboarding platform: an identity-and-prefill flow engine built on a modern Java/Spring Boot stack. The second was the payment-processing modernization: stabilizing the Ruby on Rails platform, refactoring legacy code, introducing automated deployment through Ansible, and leading a phased AWS migration. Around these, Taller supplied full-stack SDK, JavaScript, and web engineering roles supporting the company’s broader commerce engineering.

04

The payment-processing modernization ran with zero downtime through the AWS migration, cut deployment times by 40%, and sped up feature integration by 30%. The guest-checkout product built on these foundations:

80%

+ of guest shoppers converting

50%

better conversion vs. shoppers not using the product

2

minutes to complete checkout

32%

reduction in checkout time
