Crew Trip Management: Real-Time Visibility for Pilots
Replacing a legacy tool with a modern app that gives pilots accurate, real-time control of their trips
The Client · A major North American airline and a member of one of the leading international airline alliances

Overview
The airline engaged Taller to replace the aging internal tools its pilots used to manage trips, which served inaccurate data and cost them time daily. Taller helped build a modern app that gave every pilot accurate, real-time visibility into their scheduled trips.
The Problem
Pilots were fighting their own tools. The legacy website they depended on for trip information served data that was often wrong, turning routine planning into a recurring source of delay and frustration.
The Solution
Taller helped build a modern, efficient tool that let pilots schedule trips and all the logistics around them, including layovers, hotel and taxi reservations, and in-flight meals, with every pilot able to track real-time information about their scheduled trips. Taller's senior frontend engineering shaped a modern, scalable solution in Angular (a widely used framework for building web applications), where the defining technical challenge was performance: the platform handled heavy volumes of real-time data without the experience slowing down.
The Impact
Pilots now work with real-time data and visibility they simply didn't have before, through a smooth, modern interface. The client reported that its crews were very happy with the product.
The value runs deeper than convenience, as crew tooling is quietly strategic for any airline: every hour a pilot doesn't spend struggling with a legacy website is an hour returned to the operation, and crew satisfaction compounds across thousands of trips a year.
